Watch our Garden GROW!

The Pioneer PTA has been busy building a school garden since 2018. We have ten beds for vegetables, bountiful strawberry and raspberry beds, an herb garden and lots of sunflowers! Volunteer PTA parents constructed a cute garden shed and a retaining wall that acts as a seat wall for Outdoor Learning. In the fall students plant garlic and potatoes and harvested lots and lots of sunflower seeds.

This has been a true do it yourself PTA project. Many thanks goes out to Pioneer PTA, parent and staff volunteers and Pioneer parents who are supporting this project with funding.

A HUGE THANK YOU to Don Dodge of Dodge Excavation LLC for donating his time and tools to help us prepare the garden for our seat wall.

A big THANK YOU to Blue Peetz and the OHS Freedom Farmers for their help with building our garden beds, filling them with soil, and spreading the wood chips. We would also like to thank Great Western Supply for donating a portion of the soil that filled the beds!
